The influence of process parameters on intergranular corrosion and mechanical properties of 2A12T4 aluminum alloy extruded bars
The influence of chemical composition, extrusion process, and heat treatment process on the intergranular corrosion and mechanical properties of 2A12T4 aluminum alloy extruded bars was studied with orthogonal tests. The results show that extrusion temperature is the main factor affecting the mechanical properties of 2A12T4 aluminum alloy bars. The higher the extrusion temperature, the higher the tensile strength and yield strength of the bars, and the lower the elongation.Quenching transfer time is the main factor affecting inter-granular corrosion of bars. The shorter the quenching transfer time, the less deeper the inter-granular corrosion. When the transfer time is 10 seconds, only slight pitting corrosion oc-curs,and the bar meets the user's and standard requirements.
