Research progress on cracking resistant asphalt pavements
This paper reviews the types of asphalt pavement cracking and summarizes its formation mechanism;analysing the factors affecting the cracking performance of asphalt pavements in terms of environmental factors,as-phalt species content,grading type and asphalt aging;and exploring the crack prevention and control measures,in-cluding improving the ratio design of asphalt mixtures,the use of modified asphalt,and crack healing technology and other methods.The study concluded that the current research on the anti-cracking mechanism of asphalt pavement is still insufficient,and the subsequent research should be combined with the geographical characteris-tics,improve the pavement cracking model,develop more targeted anti-cracking technology,and develop longer-life anti-cracking asphalt pavement.
