Stability analysis and prevention of a highway landslide in southern Shaanxi
The geological conditions in the southern Shaanxi region are complex and the terrain varies signifi-cantly.During highway construction,it is inevitable to encounter routes that pass through landslide bodies,neces-sitating engineering measures for prevention and remediation to enhance stability. This paper starts with the disaster mechanisms of landslides on road engineering, analyzing key factors affecting landslide stability based on a case study of landslide treatment during highway construction in southern Shaanxi.Through qualitative analysis of land-slide stability and quantitative calculations of remaining sliding forces,a comprehensive treatment strategy is pro-posed,primarily using anti-slide piles, supplemented by slope anchoring and earth pressure counteracting, along with strengthened drainage measures. This successfully managed a landslide in a limit stability state under specific conditions, contributing valuable experience for landslide management in the mountainous areas of southern Shaanxi.
