Research on the design scheme of urban interchange under restricted construction conditions
As urbanization accelerates in China, early urban planning's flat intersections can no longer meet traffic demands. Many nodes require transformation into three-dimensional interchanges to increase capacity. However, the long-term development of these intersections has led to the accumulation of other structures, such as railways, tracks, and buildings, which limits the modification conditions for most nodes. In this context, the traffic organization and design of interchange renovations are highly complex. This paper focuses on the reconstruction of an urban road node in Nanning.Based on site conditions and traffic volume analysis,a fully interconnected hub scheme using a dual ring road with directional ramps was designed and proposed. After analyzing and validating this scheme,an innovative design featuring a deformed cloverleaf with detour ramps was introduced.Through capacity analysis and economic comparisons of the plans, the feasibility of the optimized scheme was demonstrated,provi-ding valuable insights for relevant professionals.
