Metal materials are widely used in medical, aviation, military and other fields because of their excellent machinability, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, wear resistance and corrosion resistance,so the research on high-performance metal matrix composites has become a hot spot in the field of composite materials. At present, there are many theoretical preparation methods for high-performance metal matrix composites, but there are relatively few technical solutions that can be used for industrial production, and there are many studies on single reinforcing phases and few studies on multiphase strengthened matrices, which are prominent in these two types of contradictions. In order to provide a theoretical basis for experimental exploration, this paper reviews the common preparation methods of metal matrix composites and the types and effects of commonly used reinforcement phases,as well as the analysis of multiphase strengthening and rare earth regulation.
