Evaluation of the Physiological Characteristics and Cold Tolerance of Six Berberis Under Low Temperature Stress
The dormant branches of six Berberis plants in Qinghai Province were used as test materials, and the artificial gradient cooling method was used to treat them at-20 ℃,-25 ℃,-30 ℃,-35 ℃,-40 ℃ for 24 h,with 4 ℃ as the control. The physiological indexes of Berberis branches after low temperature treatment were studied. The results showed that with the decrease of treatment temperature, the relative conductivity of Berberis dubia showed a continuous downward trend, the relative conductivity of Berberis diaphana showed a continuous upward trend, and the relative conductivity of Berberis vulgaris,Berberis dasystachya,Berberis vernae and Berberis poiretii showed a trend of increasing first and then decreasing. The PRO content of Berberis dubia and Berberis vernae showed a continuous upward trend, while the PRO content of Berberis vulgaris,Berberis diaphana,Berberis dasystachya and Berberis poiretii showed a continuous downward trend. The changes of MDA,POD,SOD,SS and SP were consistent, showing a trend of increasing first and then decreasing.By calculating the cold resistance coefficient of each single index, the membership function is established for evaluation. The evaluation results were as follows:Berberis diaphana>Berberis dasystachya>Berberis vulgaris>Berberis dubia>Berberis vernae>Berberis poiretii.
