Functional Experimental Study on the Enhancement of Immunity by Paecilomyces Hepiali and Lycium Barbarum Capsule
The experimental study on the immunity-enhancing function of Paecilomyces hepiali and Lycium barbarum Capsule in mice was investigated. The study was conducted with low(0.225 g·kg-1·BW-1),medium(0.45 g·kg-1·BW-1),and high(0.90 g·kg-1·BW-1)dosage groups,as well as a blank control group, according to 5,10,and 20 times the recommended human dosage, respectively. After consecutive gastric gavage experiments and the testing of various indices, the proliferation of splenic lymphocytes, the carbon clearance function of mononuclear-macrophage cells, the activity of NK cells, body weight, the ratio of thymus weight to body weight, the ratio of spleen weight to body weight, the delayed-type hypersensitivity, serum hemolysin levels, and the phagocytic capacity of peritoneal macrophages in the mice were measured and compared with the blank control group. The experimental results showed that the medium-dose group of the test substance significantly increased the number of antibody-producing cells and NK cell activity in mice, and the high-dose group of the test substance significantly increased the proliferation capacity of lymphocytes, the number of antibody-producing cells, the ability of carbon contouring, and the activity of NK cells in mice, and the body weight growth of mice was not adversely affected by the test substance.According to the evaluation criteria of"Health Food Functional Testing and Evaluation Methods"(2023 edition),The Paecilomyces Hepiali and Lycium Barbarum Capsule has the function of enhancing immunity.
