The migration activities of the Zang-Burmese ethnic group in Nepal have shown a new trend and characteristics of a large outflow of young people for the purpose of studying and becoming monks, which has had a huge impact on the spatial structure and sustainable development of the population in the original community. Not only is it related to the future population structure and development trend of the China-Nepal border area, but also affects the security and stability of the front-line border areas. This paper conducts an on-site investigation in the Boudha community in Kathmandu,Nepal.Against the historical background of the formation of the Boudha migrant community,the"push-pull theory"is used to analyze the phenomenon of young Zang-Burmese migrants driven by the constraint of the emigration locations and the guarantee of the immigration locations. Also, the paper delves into the current life situation and future prospects of three different life choices for the young migrants:"staying in the city","crossing-border migration",and"returning to hometown"after completing their studies or returning to secular life.
