In the process of modernization of Chinese civilization,the lives of Chinese people have undergone profound structural and all-round changes.As a result,Chinese folklore has explored academic transformations oriented to the present.Among them,Zhou Xing proposed the study of"life revolution"to analyze the appearance and birth process of the daily life of ordinary citizens.The study of the"revolution of life"reviews the"subjectivity of the people"and"daily life"and examines the logic of action,thinking and conception of the people in the process of the revolution of the way of life,such as clothing,food,housing,transportation and so on.However,the study of the"revolution of life"has been mainly oriented towards phenomena in the consumer sphere and at the material level,with less attention paid to changes in deeper areas such as patterns of work and relations of interaction.All these areas together constitute the manifestation of the civilizing process in the daily life of the population,the present to which folklore should be oriented.Therefore,the study of the"revolution of life"has a strong academic potential.Attaching importance to the study and understanding of the people's life practices and the meaning of their actions will help to promote the practical turn of folklore studies and better understand the contemporary process of Chinese civilization,which is an inevitable topic for Chinese folklore studies to carry out the study of the process of civilization.
