Effects of Salicylic Acid on Seed Germination and Physiological Characteristics of Wild Soybean
Wild soybean seeds from different years were taken as the object, the effects of salicylic acid(SA)on the germination and physiological characteristics of wild soybean seeds were studied. The results showed that SA could improve the germination indicators of wild soybeans with different storage times. The ger-mination potential of samples in 2006,germination rate of samples stored at room temperature in 2011,and germination index of samples refrigerated in 2011 increased by 29.77%,47%,and 4.59%compared to the corresponding control group, respectively. From the results of three antioxidant enzyme activities, the growth rates of SOD activity,POD activity, and CAT activity in the samples in 2008 were the highest, with values of-4.14%,-7.79%,and-17.12%,respectively.The growth rate of soluble sugar content in the samples was the highest in 2006,at 59.90%.SA can increase the soluble sugar content of wild soybeans, reduce the enzyme activity of protective enzymes such as POD,SOD,CAT,and promote seed germination.SA plays a pos-itive role in regulating the aging process of wild soybean seeds.
