Identification and Biological Characterization of a Foliar Pathogenic Fungus of Flos Plumeriae
In this study,a pathogenic fungal strain, named JD3,was isolated from the leaves of Flos Plumeriae(Plumeria rubra Linn.cv.Acutifolia)by tissue isolation method, and analyzed for colony morpho-logical characteristics and ITS sequence. The results showed that strain JD3 was identified as Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, and the strain was able to utilize a variety of carbon and nitrogen sources, among which D-mannitol was the best carbon source and acid-hydrolyzed casein was the best nitrogen source. The results of this study can provide reference for the diagnosis and control of anthracnose of Flos Plumeriae.
