Effects of Common Vetch Extract on Seed Germination and Seedling Growth of Rape and Wheat
In order to explore the allelopathic effect of the herbaceous plant common vetch on the previous crop wild rape and the main crop wheat, the effects of different parts of common vetch and different concentra-tions of extracts on the germination rate, bud length, root length, fresh weight and dry weight of rape and wheat were detected in this paper. The results showed that:In general, the extracts of common vetch roots, stems and leaves, and rhizosphere soil had allelopathic inhibitory effects on the germination and seedling growth of rape seeds, and the inhibitory effect increased with the increase of extract concentration. When the concentration was 0.100 g/mL,the allelopathic inhibitory effect was the strongest. The extracts of common vetch roots, stems and leaves, and rhizosphere soil had a certain inhibitory effect on the germination rate of wheat.Treatments 1~1,1~2,1~3,2~1,2~4,3~1 and 3~4 showed allelopathic promotion effects on wheat growth, but with the increase of the test concentration, the promotion effect weakened.Other treatments showed inhibitory effect, but the comprehensive allelopathic effect index was at a low level. Therefore, the allelopathy of common vetch ex-tract would not have adverse effects on wheat seed germination and seedling growth.
