The Impact of Two Vegetation Restoration Models on the Physical and Chemical Properties of Soil in Mining Sites in the Taihang Mountains of Southern Hebei Province
In order to gain a deeper understanding and interpretation of the changes and development pat-terns of physical and chemical properties in degraded soil after intervention with artificial restoration measures, this study selected the abandoned iron mine land in Shexian county as the research area, and took the com-monly used two vegetation restoration models as the research objects to analyze and compare the differences in the restoration and improvement effects of different vegetation restoration models. The results showed that un-der the Forsythia suspensa mode, the soil pH value decreased by 2.970%compared to the CK,organic mat-ter increased by 185.533%,total nitrogen content increased by 177.528%,total phosphorus decreased by 26.601%,total potassium decreased by 14.564%,alkaline nitrogen content increased by 177.235%,avail-able phosphorus increased by 36.046%,and available potassium increased by 0.828%.The content of iron, copper, zinc, and molybdenum elements has increased compared to CK,while the content of manganese ele-ment has decreased.Under the Sichuan pepper mode, the soil pH value decreased by 1.306%compared to CK,the total nitrogen content decreased by 44.944%,the total phosphorus increased by 10.890%,and the total potassium decreased by 2.768%.The alkaline hydrolyzed nitrogen content decreased by 67.209%,the available phosphorus increased by 1 957.245%,and the available potassium decreased by 15.097%.The content of manganese, copper, and molybdenum elements increased compared to CK,while the content of i-ron and zinc elements decreased. Two restoration modes have shown improvement and promotion effects on the increase of mineral nutrient element content in degraded soil.In this study, there were 13 chemical property indicators, among which 9 showed higher values in the Forsythia suspensa model than in the Sichuan pepper model, indicating that the adaptability and functionality of the Forsythia suspensa model are better than those of the Sichuan pepper model under this site condition and degraded ecosystem type.
