Endophytic fungi exist in plant tissues and are a potential source of new compounds with bio-logical activity.This paper discussed the interaction relationship between endophytic fungi and host plants,and analyzed how these relationships promoted the production of new metabolites.It also introduced the re-search progress and synthesis mechanism of several types of new metabolites,and showd the application pros-pects of new metabolites of endophytic fungi.
