In this study,we employed Jim Barrett＇s vocational tests to investigate vocational interests of 618 middle school students in Qinghai Province.The results show： 1） the order of vocational interests preference of National Middle School students are Experimental（E）,Verbal（V）,Organizational（O）,Artistic（A）,Enterprising（E）,Social（S）,Natural（N）;2） there are significant differences in vocational interest types between National and General Middle School students of the same grade,between students in the same school of different genders and among Tibetan students in different schools,while the degrees of difference vary among these comparisons;3） this paper also analyzed the causes of vocational interests differences of middle school students in minority area.
