从翻译目的论角度谈“师范学院”译名的可接受性

摘要
翻译的主要目的是译文的交际目的。＂师范学院＂校名英译的目的在于加强对外交流,对外宣传其办学情况,提高学校的知名度以便吸引更多的国内外考生和办学合作者。校名英译时,除了考虑原文和译文功能上对等外,还要考虑受众的接受性和反应度。
Abstract
According to Skopos Theory,the main purpose of translation is communication.Apart from promoting international exchange,the purpose of translating ＂Shifan Xueyuan＂ into English is to make known to the public the situation of school running so as to attract more students and cooperators both at home and abroad.Therefore,when translating them in English,functional equivalence,acceptability and responsiveness should be considered.
