摘要
多媒体技术教学与传统教学相比,由于其具有融合性、非线性、无结构性、相互交涉性、可编辑性和可存储性等特点,在外语教学中发挥着重要作用。但是,多媒体技术仅仅是教学的辅助工具,在外语教学活动中,师生之间课堂上的互动性交流才是提高教学质量最有效的手段。
Abstract
The ideal state of Foreign Language Teaching is to create a truly authentic environment of language learning,which enables students to learn a foreign language in the same way as to learn their mother tongue.However,it is difficult to achieve the ideal state in traditional form of teaching.Compared to the conventional form,teaching with multimedia has its own advantages,like comprehensive,non-linear,non-structural editable and storable features.The multimedia technology plays an important role in foreign language teaching.The well-illustrated PowerPoint courseware provides students with vivid English language environment and pure authentic language data,which increase their knowledge as well as develop the ability of English speaking and listening.However,the multimedia technology can only play a supporting role in foreign language teaching.In foreign language teaching activities,the interaction and communication between teacher and students in class is the most effective teaching approach.Therefore,in the foreign language teaching with multimedia,it is proper to develop the advantages of multimedia technology,and meanwhile to deny the traditional teaching mode and inappropriate teaching methods,in order to play the role of the multimedia technology in foreign language teaching.
