Observation of Morphological Structure in Different Adipose Tissues of Yak
This study aimed to investigate the morphological characteristics of various adipose tissues in yaks.Samples of subcutaneous, intermuscular, and perirenal adipose tissues were collected from five male yaks, each ap-proximately four years old.Histological analysis was performed using Hematoxylin and Eosin(H&E)staining to ex-amine cellular morphology and to quantify the number of cells per unit area as well as the average cell size. The re-sults revealed that yak adipose tissues exhibit a honeycomb-like structure with relatively large cell sizes. The aver-age cell areas of subcutaneous, intermuscular, and perirenal adipose tissues were(1 513.08±167.87)μm2,(1 367.80±152.79)μm2,and(1 872.67±413.0)μm2,respectively.These findings provide valuable ref-erence data for further research on yak adipose tissues.
