Investigation and Analysis of Chicken Salmonella in Some Areas of Xining City
The present study was conducted to investigate the prevalence and drug resistance of Salmonella in chickens in Xining City.A total of 216 tissue samples of dead chickens were collected from some chicken farms in Xining City.The infection status of Salmonella and the resistance of some isolated strains to common antibiotics were investigated through methods such as bacterial isolation,staining microscopy,serotype identification,and drug sensitivity testing.The results showed that a total of 47 samples were infected with Salmonella,with an aver-age positive rate of 21.76%.Four serotypes were identified,they were Salmonella enterica(32 strains),Salmo-nella enterica(10 strains),Salmonella paratyphoid A(3 strains),and Salmonella avidin(2 strains).The results of the drug sensitivity test showed that Salmonella isolates had low resistance to Cephalosporin,Ceftriaxone,Specti-nomycin,and Sulfamethoxazole,they had high resistance to antibiotics such as Penicillin,Ampicillin,Streptomy-cin,Ofloxacin,and Sulfamethoxazole.The research results provide a scientific basis for the development of preven-tion and control measures for chicken salmonellosis in the area.
