Comparative Research on Forage Quality of Main Agricultural Crops Straws in Qinghai Province
For the purpose of selecting superior varieties of major crop straws in Qinghai Province,this paper presents a comprehensive evaluation of the crude protein,crude fat,crude fibre,neutral and acid detergent fibre,crude ash,soluble sugar,calcium and phosphorus contents of different varieties of straws by measuring the forage quality indicators of 12 straw resources and using principal component analysis.The results showed that:potato straw had the highest crude protein content of 9.72%,and spring wheat straw had the lowest crude protein content of 2.49%;the crude fat content of Qinghai flat-stemmed early morning glory straw was significantly higher than that of the other straws;the neutral detergent fibre content of Qinghai Chinese fescue straw was 44.89%,which was lower than that of the other straw samples,and the acidic detergent fibre was the highest;the soluble sugar content of oat straw was the highest at 9.48%;broad bean straw had the highest Ca content of 10.41%.The com-prehensive evaluation showed that the nutritional quality of potato straw was the best,followed by Qinghai flat-stemmed early morning glory,Qinghai cold-land early morning glory and oat straw,and the above straw resources had certain feeding value and could be developed and utilised as feed resources.
