Application test of anode assembled by low phosphorus gray cast iron in 500 kA aluminum reduction cells
By analyzing the effects of various elements in phosphorus cast iron,controlling the component of phosphorus cast iron,achieving phosphorus i-ron ring after casting with gray cast iron structure,comparing the situation of casting and the performance of anodes using the low phosphorus gray cast iron and white cast iron in the whole service cycle on 500 kA aluminum reduction cells,the following conclusions are made:The low phosphorus gray cast iron has better fluidity than white cast iron at around 1300℃;The Fe-C voltage drop of cast anode with low phosphorus gray cast iron is about 10 mV lower than that of cast anode with white cast iron,which can reduce electrical consumption by 30 kWh/t-Al;The casting process of the low phosphorus gray cast iron not only reduces the vertical cracks of the anode butt and the probability of falling corners,but also improves the removal press of the phosphorus iron ring.
