Comparison and analysis of cooling methods for petroleum coke calcination process
Comparing and analyzing different cooling methods of rotary kilns and vertical shaft furnaces, the use of cooling technologies with high cooling efficiency and the utilization of waste heat from high-temperature calcined coke is becoming a new development direction. The indirect cooling of rotary kiln can not only generate hot water at 90℃,but also address the problem of coke particle pulverization caused by the direct spray cooling. It is the pre-ferred process for new construction or renovation projects. The saturated steam produced by vaporization cooling method from vertical shaft furnace is 250~300 kg/t-CPC,which has obvious economic benefits and is an important technology for reducing carbon emission. However, industrial application still needs to solve materials and lifespan problem of water jacket.
