Effect of Narrative Nursing on Negative Emotion and Self-Health Behavior in Tumor Patients Undergoing PICC Indwelling
Objective:To explore the effect of narrative nursing on negative emotions and self health behavior abilities in tumor patients during central venous catheter(PICC)placement through peripheral veins. Methods:A total of 200 tumor patients who underwent PICC ma-intenance from August 1,2021 to June 2022 were selected as the study subjects, and were divided into the control group and the experi-mental group by the double blind grouping standard, with 100 patients in each group. The control group received routine care, while the ex-perimental group received narrative care.Comparison was made on compliance, negative emotions by SAS and SDS,incidence of complica-tions,quality of life by HPLP-C,and self health behavioral abilities by ESCA between the two groups. Results:The compliance rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After nursing, the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and the Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the experimental group were fewer than those in the control group(P<0.01).The incidence of complications was lower in the experimental group than that in the control group(P<0.05).After nursing, the scores of the Health Pro-motion Lifestyle Scale(HPLP-C)and ESCA in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion:Narrative nursing in the PICC indwelling period can improve the compliance, quality of life, and self health behavior ability in tumor pa-tients,improve negative emotions, and reduce complications.
