Effect of Nursing Intervention Mode Based on Behavioral Transformation Theory on Elderly Gastrointestinal Surgery Patients
Objective:To explore the effect of nursing intervention mode based on behavior transformation theory on elderly patients un-dergoing gastrointestinal surgery. Methods:Ninety elderly gastrointestinal surgery patients admitted from January 1,2022 to January 1,2023 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into an observation group and a control group of 45 cases each using a lottery method. The control group received routine perioperative nursing intervention, while the observation group received a nursing intervention model based on behavior change theory. The compatibility, quality of life[The Short-Form 36(SF-36)],lifestyle habits, negative emotions before and after intervention[Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)],and incidence of postoperative complications were compared between the two intervention groups. Results:The observation group had a higher level of cooperation and SF-36 score after intervention compared to the control group(P<0.05),and had better lifestyle habits than the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the SAS and SDS scores,as well as the incidence of postoperative complications, were lower in the control group compared to the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The nursing intervention model based on behavioral transformation theory has a good intervention effect on elderly gastrointestinal surgery patients, which can improve their overall cooperation, lifestyle habits, and quality of life scores, alleviate negative emotions such as depression and anxiety, and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
