The Effect of Family-Centered Obstetric Care on Fear of Childbirth and Childbirth Outcomes of Primipara
Objective:To explore the effect of family-centered obstetric care on fear of childbirth and childbirth outcomes of primipara.Method:A total of 102 primipara selected from Suzhou Municipal Hospital from January 1,2020 to January 31,2023 were selected as the research subjects and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with 51 cases in each group. The control group received routine obstetric care, while the observation group received family-centered obstetric care on the basis of routine care.Childbirth fear score using the Childbirth Attitude Questionnaire(CAQ),the self-efficacy of childbirth using the Simplified Chinese version of the Childbirth Self-Efficacy Scale(CBSEI-32),and the delivery outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results:After intervention, the CAQ scores of fetal health, labor pain hazards,self-control,medical care, and total score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the CBSEI-32 scores of outcome expectation, delivery self-efficacy expectation score, and total score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The delivery outcome of the observation group was better than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Family-centered obstetric care can effectively improve the fear of childbirth in primipara, reduce the cesarean section rate, improve the delivery experience, enhance delivery outcomes, and facilitate the smooth passage of the childbirth period.
