Effect of Scenario Simulation Education Based on Video Feedback Method on Self-care Ability of Type 2 Diabetes Patients
Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of scenario simulation education based on video feedback method on self-care abil-ity of type 2 diabetes patients. Methods:One hundred and ninety-six patients with type 2 diabetes who attended our hospital from February 1,2021 to February 1,2022 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group according to the lottery method(n=98).The control group received routine health education mode, while the observation group received scenario simulation education based on video feedback method. The disease related knowledge, blood glucose control status[including fasting plasma glucose(FPG),He-moglobinA1c(HbA1c),two-hour plasma glucose(2 h PG)],quality of life[using the World Health Organization Quality of Life brief ver-sion(WHO QOL-BREF)],and compliance were compared between two groups before and after nursing. Results:After nursing, the disease related knowledge awareness,FPG,HbA1c,2 h PG,and WHOQOL-BREF scores of both groups were better than before nursing(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05).Before discharge and one month after discharge, the compliance of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Scenario simulation education based on video feed-back method can improve the self-care ability of type 2 diabetes patients, help control blood sugar, improve the mastery of diabetes knowl-edge,and thus improve the quality of life and treatment compliance of patients.
