Effect of Comprehensive Psychological and Behavioral Care on Negative Emotions and Cognitive Function in Subsequent Schizophrenia Patients
Objective:To explore the effect of comprehensive psychological and behavioral care on the subsequent emotional and behav-ioral responses and functional status of subsequent schizophrenia patients.Methods:A total of 248 patients with schizophrenia admitted from October 1,2022 to November 30,2023 were randomly divided into control group and study group,with 124 patients in each group.Both groups were treated with medication according to medical advice,while the control group received routine care and the study group received comprehensive psychological care.Cognitive function[using the MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery(MCCB)],negative emotions[u-sing the Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)],and assess patient satisfaction with nursing were com-pared before and after nursing between two groups.Results:After nursing,the scores of MCCB(language fluency,connectivity,number se-quence,spatial breadth,language memory,continuous operation management,and emotional management dimensions)in the study group were all higher than before nursing(P<0.01,P<0.05),while the scores of MCCB in the control group were all higher than before nursing(P<0.01,P<0.05).The scores of MCCB in the study group were all higher than those in the control group(P<0.01,P<0.05).After nursing,the SDS and SAS scores of both groups were lower than before nursing(P<0.01),and the study group was lower than the control group(P<0.01).The satisfaction of patients in the study group with nursing care was higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).Con-clusion:Comprehensive psychological and behavioral care has an improvement effect on negative emotions and cognitive function in patients with subsequent schizophrenia,increasing patient satisfaction with nursing.
