Effects of Dynamic Pain Assessment and Management on Postoperative Pain Factors,Self-efficacy and Sleep Quality in Patients with Intracra-nial Tumors
Objective:To study the effects of dynamic pain assessment and management on postoperative pain factors,self-efficacy and sleep quality in patients with intracranial tumors. Methods:A total of 105 patients with intracranial tumors admitted from February 1 to De-cember 31,2020 were selected as the control group using convenience sampling method, and routine pain care was provided;105 patients with intracranial tumors admitted from February 1 to December 31,2021 were selected as the observation group for dynamic pain assess-ment and management. The resting pain intensity[Numerical Rating Scale(NRS)]and active pain intensity(NRS score at active state)at 24 hours and 72 hours after surgery, pain factors[5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),substance P(SP),norepinephrine(NE)]before surgery and at 3 days and 7 days after surgery, and self-efficacy[General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)]at 24 hours and 7 days after surgery, and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results:NRS score at active state at 24 hours after surgery,NRS score at resting state, and NRS score at active state at 72 hours after surgery were lower in observation group than those in control group(P<0.05).Serum 5-HT,SP and NE levels in both groups at 3 days and 7 days after surgery were en-hanced compared with those before surgery, but the levels in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).At 7 days after surgery, the GSES score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05),the PSQI score was lower than the control group(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclu-sion:Dynamic pain assessment and management can relieve the postoperative resting pain and active pain in patients with intracranial tumors, improve the levels of postoperative pain factors, enhance the self-efficacy,and promote the sleep quality and nursing satisfaction.
