Effect of Orem Self-Care Model in Hypertensive Patients
Objective:To explore the effect of Orem self-care model in hypertensive patients. Methods:Sixty hypertensive patients admit-ted from January 1,2019 to June 30,2022 were divided into observation group and control group according to random number method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received routine care, while the observation group adopted Orem self-care model care.Compare blood pressure indicators including diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and systolic blood pressure(SBP),self-care ability using the Dennis self-care assessment scale(DSCAI),and behavioral compliance using the hypertensive patient behavioral compliance scale(CHPS)between the two groups on the day of admission and 1 day before discharge. Results:One day before discharge, the DSCAI scores of the two groups were higher than those on the day of admission(P<0.05),and the DBP,SBP,and CHPS scores were lower than those on the day of admis-sion(P<0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion:The implementation of Orem self-care model can improve the blood pressure index of hypertensive patients, enhance their self-care ability and behavior compliance.
