Questionnaire Development of KAP of Umbilical Cord Blood in Maternals and Testing of Validity and Reliability
Objective:To explore and develop a questionnaire of knowledge, attitude, and practice(KAP)of umbilical cord blood in ma-ternals and test its reliability and validity. Methods:Based on the KAP theory, the pre-test questionnaire was formed through literature re-view and expert consultation. The preliminary version of the questionnaire was used to investigate 359 pregnant women undergoing prenatal care in a Grade Ⅲ-A hospital in Jinan of Shandong province. The item analysis, reliability test, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were carried out to test the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, and finally the formal questionnaire of KAP was estab-lished.Results:The final version of the questionnaire included knowledge, attitude and behavior, with a total of 46 items. The Cronbach's α coefficient,split-half reliability, and average content validity index of the total questionnaire are 0.986,0.847 and 0.925 respectively. The Cronbach's α coefficients for each dimension are 0.960,0.966 and 0.954 respectively;the split-half reliability values are 0.854,0.938 and 0.955,and the average content validity indices are 0.933,0.918 and 0.905 for each dimension. The content validity indices for each item are all greater than 0.867.In the exploratory factor analysis, the common factor of 6,1,and 1 was respectively extracted for each di-mension,with a cumulative percent variance of 81.460%.All the indexes obtained by confirmatory factor analysis meet the requirements. Conclusion:The questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and can be used as an effective tool to evaluate the cognitive level of preg-nant women.
