Application of Evidence-based Nursing with Orientation of Patient's Needs in the Treatment of Carotid Artery Stenosis by Stent Implantation
Objective:To explore the effect of evidence-based nursing with orientation of patient's needs in the treatment of carotid artery stenosis by stent implantation. Methods:A total of 142 patients undergoing stent implantation admitted from March 1,2022 to March 1,2023 were selected as the research objects.By drawing lots, they were divided into the observation group and the control group wtih 71 cases in each group. The patients in the control group received routine perioperative nursing care, while patients in the observation group were provided evidence-based nursing with orientation of patient's needs.Bed rest and hospital stay,complications,self-care ability(ESCA),negative emo-tions(SAS,SDS)were compared between the two groups. Results:The rehabilitation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.01).The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After in-tervention,the ESCA scores of the two groups were higher than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the ESCA scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.01).The SAS and SDS scores of the two groups were lower after intervention than those before intervention(P<0.05),and the scores of the observation group were lower than the control group(P<0.01).Conclusions:The evidence-based nursing with orientation of patient's needs can effectively shorten the time of bed rest and hospitalization of patients, reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications, enhance their self-care ability and relieve negative emotions.
