Aimed at the problem of benzene and its derivatives exceeding the standard in treatment of the wastewater containing benzene and its derivatives in a large refining enterprise's aromatics unit,combined with the current situation of benzene removal facilities in the wastewater treatment plant,ultra-high cross-linked polystyrene macroporous resin adsorption technology was selected by advantages and disadvantages comparison of different benzene remov-al technologies and pilot experiments.Sewage discharge index of the benzene and its derivatives adsorption removal engineering met the expected results.Environmental hazards of the sewage treatment plants were eliminated and the environmental discharge requirements were ensured,and the life and health of employees was safeguarded.
