During production and operation of the styrene butadiene rubber device,there are some problems,such as unreasonable process flow,high steam consumption and obvious odor of exhaust gas in the production area,which affect the health of personnel and the sur-rounding environment.The device has been renovated through four aspects:on-site polymeri-zation self heat exchange,wastewater self heat exchange system,addition of water seal,and op-timization of induced draft system,which result in a significant reduction in steam usage and saving 118.8 million yuan per year.The exhaust gas was intensively collected and the clean production goal was achieved.
