Comparison of the erosion resistance of two coated pipes
For the 125V tubing commonly used in oil fields, due to its weak erosion resistance in liquid-solid two-phase flow environment, coatings are usually added to increase its erosion resistance. In this paper,a homemade test bench is used to conduct liquid-solid two-phase flow erosion experiments for coating No.1 and coating No.2 to study the erosion resistance of the two coated casing materials. The experimental results show that in the high-speed sand-carrying fluid, the coating has not been peeled off at 10 minutes, while all the coatings are peeled off after 20 minutes, indicating that the No.1 coating is usually caused by brittle peeling or viscous failure, compared with the No.1 coating, the No.2 coating in the gas-solid environment shows good erosion resistance. The comparison of the erosion performance of the two materials provides a certain basis for the production of oil and gas field casing.
