Cause Analysis and Preventive Measures for Longitudinal Cracks in Welding of Small Diameter Copper-Nickel Elbows
During the construction process of offshore oil platforms on land,a batch of small-diameter copper-nickel alloy pipes(UNS C70600)that were welded and processed suffered severe cracking on the elbow pipe fitting side.In order to study the reasons for the cracking of copper-nickel pipelines after welding, this article uses materials, structures and fracture characteristics analysis,it was found that for small-diameter copper-nickel alloy pipe elbow fittings,by controlling the welding heat input and avoiding overheated welding, the occurrence of welding cracks can be effectively reduced.
