Study on Production and Co-production of Styrene from Propylene Oxide
In this paper,the production process and co-production technology of propylene oxide and styrene were studied.Firstly,two production processes of propylene oxide were introduced,including chlorohydrin process and co-oxidation process.In the co-oxidation method,isobutane co-oxidation,ethylbenzene co-oxidation and cumene co-oxidation were discussed respectively.Then three production methods of styrene are introduced emphatically,including oil extraction method,coal gasification method and ethylene etherification method.Then,the principle of co-production of propylene oxide and styrene is described in detail,and the key problems and challenges in the process of co-production are discussed.Then,the existing co-production processes and technologies are listed,and the research on the optimization and improvement of co-production process is put forward.Through the discussion on the process technology of co-production of propylene oxide and styrene,it provides a useful reference for the research and application in related fields.
