Research on the Application of Electromagnetic Eddy Current Internal Detection Technology in Sulfur-containing Bimetal Composite Pipeline
Due to the complex composition and transportation of natural gas in sulfur-containing gas field gathering and transportation pipelines, electrochemical corrosion may occur on the inner wall of the pipeline. Therefore, corrosion detection of acid gas pipelines is very important. The conventional magnetic flux leakage detection technology is not suitable for magnetizing the non ferromagnetic inner lining of bimetallic composite pipes.Electromagnetic eddy current detection technology utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction and convergence effect to respond to the detection of surface defects in pipelines with strong sensitivity and high detection rate. The eddy current detector has good passability in pipelines and can be used for various operational control. This article combines the first application of electromagnetic eddy current internal detection technology in a certain sulfur-containing gas field bimetallic composite pipeline, elaborates on the basic principle of eddy current internal detection technology, summarizes its advantages and limitations, verifies its adaptability in the field, and provides reference for its future promotion and application in sulfur-containing gas field bimetallic composite pipeline internal detection.
