Study on Corrosion Resistance of Brush Plating Coating with Different Layers
The sharp edge position of metal parts such as steel parts is difficult to be anti-corrosion by spraying paint and other ways, easy to produce early rust, need to be painted after mechanical chamfering treatment, and the process is complex and low efficiency. We used the brush plating process to prepare different layers of coatings on the sharp edge of steel parts. The surface morphology, coating thickness, adhesion to substrate and corrosion resistance were characterized by scanning electron microscope, tensile testing machine and alternating salt spray test chamber respectively. The results showed that the more the number of brush coatings, the better the corrosion resistance,And the corrosion resistance was better than the mechanical chamfer treatment after the spray paint anticorrosion process.Increasing the brush plating layer thickness after rinsing would not reduce the adhesion between the paint film and the substrate.Under the experimental conditions of brush plating in this paper, the two layer coating process have the best effect from the performance, applicability and construction cost by comprehensive analysis. Therefore,Compared with mechanical chamfering, brush plating surface treatment is simple method, less time and better anti-corrosion performance.
