Effect of Environmental Factors on Internal Coating Defects of the Secondary Fresh Water Tanks
During the construction of anticorrosive coating for the internal of a secondary freshwater tank in a nuclear power plant, there were problems such as rapid surface yellowing of rust on the metal substrate, grainy paint particles forming after spraying.Based on record files and feedback from supervisory personnel, the results showed that the high humidity and poor ventilation inside the storage tank,as well as high dust, were the main reasons for rapid rusting and pitting formation.According to the analysis, the improvement measures such as adding internal ventilation and dust removal facilities in the subsequent construction process have been verified to be effective.
