Observation on the clinical efficacy of Xiaoer Chichi Qingre granule in the treatment of acute upper respiratory tract infection of children with pharyngitis
Objective:To ascertain the efficacy and safety of Xiaoer Chichi Qingre granules in treating pediatric pharyngitis-type acute upper respiratory tract infections.Methods:118 children with pharyngitis-type acute upper respiratory tract infections admitted to our hospital were randomly divided into a control group(n =59)and an observation group(n =59)using a random number table method.The control group children received standard acute upper respiratory tract infection treatments,while the observation group children were treated with both Xiaoer Chichi Qingre granules.The therapeutic efficacy,efficiency,and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups after 5 days of treatment.Results:The treatment efficacy rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).The time required for fever regression,congestion,and runny nose to disappear in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reac-tions between the two groups during the medication period(P＞0.05).Conclusion:Xiaoer Chichi Qingre granules show significant therapeutic efficacy and good safety in treating pediatric pharyngitis-type acute upper respiratory tract infections.
