The application of prednisone in the prevention of renal damage in children with allergic purpura
Objective:To explore the value of prednisone in the prevention of clinical renal damage in children with allergic purpura. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 80 children with allergic purpura admitted to our hospital, and the children were grouped according to different treatment methods. The control group of children was treated with persantine, while the observation group was treated with persantine combined with prednisone;the therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment, the incidence of purpuric nephritis in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the time for purpura to disappear, the time for gastrointestinal and joint symptoms to alleviate, and the 24-hour urinary protein excretion in children with renal damage were less than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of the average renal involve-ment time of children with recurrent purpura and renal damage(P>0.05);the quality of life scores of chil-dren in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:In the prevention of renal damage in children with clinical allergic purpura, prednisone has a significant effect and can effectively prevent the occurrence of renal damage in children and improve their quality of life.
