Analysis of the Role of Neuroendoscopic Hematoma Evacuation in the Treatment of Severe Intraventricular Hemorrhage with Intraventricular Clot Formation
Objective:To clarify the clinical value of neuroendoscopic hematoma evacuation in treating severe intraventricular hemorrhage with intraventricular clot formation.Methods:Ninety-six patients from our hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group(n=48 each)using a random number table. The control group underwent lateral ventricular drainage, while the observation group received neuroendoscopic hematoma evacuation.Preoperative and postoperative mGS scores, postoperative urokinase dos-age,catheter retention time, complications, and treatment efficacy were compared between the two groups. Results:There was no significant difference in preoperative mGS scores between the two groups, but postoperative scores were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Postoperatively,the observation group used less urokinase, had shorter catheter retention times, and experi-enced a lower rate of complications compared to the control group(all P<0.05).Moreover,the total effective rate of treatment was higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Neu-roendoscopic hematoma evacuation for patients with severe intraventricular hemorrhage and clot formation is ben-eficial for improving clinical symptoms and reducing the incidence of complications.
