Clinical Study on Holmium Laser Lithotripsy under Ureteroscopy for the Treatment of Ureteral Stones
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of holmium laser lithotripsy under ureteroscopy in treating ureteral stones. Methods:From October 2020 to October 2021,46 patients with ureteral stones admit-ted to our hospital were enrolled and randomly divided into a study group and a control group(23 cases each)using a random number table. The study group underwent ureteroscopic holmium laser lithotripsy, while the control group received pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy. The therapeutic effects and laboratory examination indica-tors of the two groups were measured and compared. Results:After treatment, the overall effective rate was higher in the study group compared to the control group.White blood cell count, serum procalcitonin, and C-reactive protein levels were lower in the study group postoperatively than in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion:For patients with ureteral stones, holmium laser lithotripsy under ureteroscopy offers more prominent therapeutic effects compared to pneumatic ballistic lithotripsy. It also improves early postoperative inflammatory conditions, making it a worthwhile approach to implement.
