Evaluating the Intervention Efficacy of Picture-based Health Education Combined with Progressive Method Nursing on Diabetes Patients
Objective:To ascertain the application value of picture-based health education combined with progressive method nursing for diabetic patients. Methods:Eighty diabetic patients were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group.Routine care was provided to the control group, while the obser-vation group received picture-based health education combined with progressive method nursing intervention. The intervention effects were compared between the two groups based on blood glucose levels,self-manage-ment abilities, mastery of health knowledge, and quality of life. Results:After intervention, the observation group showed significantly lower fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2-hour postprandial glucose(2hPG),and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels compared to the control group.Scores for overall diet, blood glucose mo-nitoring,balanced diet, exercise, and foot care were higher in the observation group. The observation group al-so demonstrated higher achievement rates in mastering diabetes-related theoretical knowledge, insulin injection techniques, and understanding the relationship between diabetes, blood glucose, and insulin.Furthermore, the quality of life scores were higher in the observation group, with significant differences observed across all metrics(P<0.05).Conclusion:Implementing picture-based health education combined with progressive method nursing for diabetic patients aids in regulating blood glucose levels, enhancing self-management capabilities and quality of life, and significantly improving patients'understanding of their disease.
