Nursing Cooperation in Endoscopic Treatment of Esophageal and Gastric Varices with Polidocanol Combined with Tissue Glue Injection
Objective:To investigate the clinical application and nursing cooperation of endoscopic poli-docanol combined with tissue glue injection for the treatment of esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding. Methods:A total of 2,013 sessions of emergency hemostasis or secondary prevention in patients with liver cirrhosis complicated by esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding were treated with endoscopic injection of polidocanol combined with tissue glue. The success rate of the procedure, intraoperative and postoperative com-plication rates, and variceal eradication rate were observed. Results:The overall efficacy rate of endoscopic po-lidocanol combined with tissue glue injection for esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding was 93.2%,with an overall complication rate of 13.7%.Specifically,postoperative fever occurred in 4.1%,early rebleeding within 6 weeks in 7.2%,ectopic embolization in 0.1%,esophageal ulceration in 1.6%,esophageal stricture in 0.3%,and mortality within 6 weeks in 0.4%.Conclusion:Endoscopic polidocanol combined with tissue glue injection for esophageal and gastric variceal bleeding is safe, efficient, and easy to perform, warranting its broa-der clinical application.Effective nursing cooperation is crucial to the success of the procedure.
