Application of Comfortable Nursing in Conjunction with Non-invasive Ventilation in Emergency Department for Acute Exacerbations of Chronic Obstructive Emphysema Patients
Objective:To evaluate the effectiveness of applying comfort care in non-invasive ventilation(NIV)treatment for patients with acute exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema(COPD).Methods:A total of 118 COPD exacerbation patients were randomly assigned to a control group(59 cases re-ceiving routine care)and an intervention group(59 cases receiving routine care combined with comfort care)u-sing a random number table method.Evaluations were based on pulmonary function indices,complication inci-dence,psychological status,comfort level,and health condition.Results:Post-intervention,the intervention group showed higher scores in pulmonary function indices,comfort level,and health status,along with a lower incidence of complications and psychological status scores compared to the control group.These differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of comfort care with emergency NIV in COPD exacerbation patients effectively improves pulmonary function and psychological status,enhancing patient comfort and health levels.
