Clinical Analysis of the Effect of Tragus Cartilage-Perichondrium Tympanoplasty under Otoendoscopy
Objective:To investigate the clinical value of tragus cartilage-perichondrium tympanoplasty under otoendoscopy. Methods:A total of 96 patients with chronic suppurative otitis media admitted to the oto-laryngology department of our hospital were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 48 patients in each group. The control group underwent temporal fascia tympanoplasty under a microscope, while the observation group underwent tragus cartilage-perichondrium tympanoplasty under otoendoscopy. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results:The growth and healing rate of tym-panic membrane in the observation group was 93.75%(45/48),while that in the control group was 77.08%(37/48),showing a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).The hearing levels at 0.5,1.0,2.0,and 4.0 kHz in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life scores in terms of material life, social relationships, physical function, and psychological function in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of tragus cartilage-perichondrium tympanoplasty under otoendoscopy in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media can improve the growth and healing rate of tympanic membrane, effectively enhance hearing levels, and improve the quality of life.
