The Efficacy of Recombinant Human Epidermal Growth Factor Topical Solution in Combination with Recombinant Human Granulocyte Stimulating Factor for Chemotherapy-Induced Oral Mucositis
Objective:To investigate the efficacy of recombinant human epidermal growth factor topical solution combined with recombinant human granulocyte stimulating factor(RHGSF)in the treatment of chemo-therapy-induced oral mucositis. Methods:A total of 102 elderly patients with CHF were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table. The conventional group(n=48)received treatment with recombinant human epidermal growth factor topical solution, while the combination group(n=54)received additional RHGSF as adjuvant therapy. The clinical efficacy,HIF-1α levels,VEGF levels, oral pH values, and VAS scores were compared between the two groups. Results:After 28 days of treatment, the total effective rate of the combination group was higher than that of the conventional group. The mean serum HIF-1 α level was lower,VEGF level was higher,VAS score was lower, and pH value was lower in the combination group compared to the conventional group, with statistically significant differences observed in all indicators between the groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combined use of recombinant human epidermal growth factor topical solution and RHGSF shows significant efficacy in the treatment of chemotherapy-induced oral mucositis. It can alkalinize o-ral saliva, alleviate pain, and achieve anti-inflammatory and oral mucosal repair effects.
