Study on the Rehabilitation Effect of Schroth Exercise Combined with Orthopedic Massage in Early Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis
Objective:To investigate the rehabilitation effect of Schroth exercise combined with orthope-dic massage in early adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS).Methods:A total of 80 patients with AIS were grouped according to their rehabilitation programs. The control group(n=44)received Schroth exercise train-ing,while the observation group(n=36)received orthopedic massage treatment in addition to Schroth exer-cise.Clinical efficacy, morphological indicators, pain levels, and quality of life were selected as evaluation in-dicators to compare the rehabilitation effects between the two groups. Results:Before the intervention, there were no significant differences in any indicators between the two groups(P>0.05).After the intervention, the clinical total effective rate and scores of all dimensions of quality of life in the observation group were signifi-cantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Cobb angle, trunk displacement distance, apical vertebral rotation, and VAS score were significantly lower in the observation group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The application of Schroth exercise training combined with orthopedic massage in the rehabilitation treatment of early AIS patients can effectively improve clinical efficacy, significantly improve morphological indicators and pain levels, and markedly enhance the quality of life of patients. This combined treatment is worthy of clinical promotion.
