Clinical Value of Combined Serum CEA,CA125,and D-Dimer Testing in Ovarian Cancer Diagnosis
Objective:This study aims to evaluate the application value of combined serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),and D-dimer(D-D)detection in the clinical diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Methods:A total of 67 patients with pathologically confirmed ovarian cancer and 67 patients with benign ovarian lesions from our hospital were selected as the malignant group and benign group,respectively.Additionally,67 healthy female subjects who underwent physical examinations at our hospital during the same period were chosen as the normal control group.Serum levels of CEA,CA125,and D-D were measured and compared among the three groups. The positive expression rates of these three ser-um markers were also evaluated individually and in combination for their diagnostic efficiency in ovarian cancer.Results:Com-pared to the normal control group, serum levels of CEA,CA1 25,and D-D were significantly higher in both the malignant and benign groups(P<0.05).Moreover,the levels of all three serum markers were significant-ly higher in the malignant group compared to the benign group(P<0.05).The positive detection rates for in-dividual and combined testing of the three serum markers were significantly higher in both the malignant and be-nign groups compared to the normal control group(P<0.05),and significantly higher in the malignant group compared to the benign group(P<0.05).The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AU-CROC)for CEA,CA125,D-D,and the combined test were 0.836(95%CI:0.767-0.904),0.860(95%CI:0.798-0.923),0.950(95%CI:0.905-0.994),and 0.995(95%CI:0.000-1.000),re-spectively.The combined detection of the three serum markers had the largest AUCROC,indicating the highest diagnostic efficiency for ovarian cancer. Conclusion:Serum levels of CEA,CA125,and D-D are significantly elevated in patients with ovarian cancer.Combined detection of these markers can significantly improve the accuracy of diagnosing ovarian cancer, aiding in early detection and treatment, thereby improving patient prognosis and extending survival.
